I’m thrilled to share that my interview with Mukul Varma, Senior Correspondent at Business Economics — a fortnightly business publication established in 1995, printed in Kolkata and distributed nationwide, with editorial offices in Kolkata and Chennai — has just been published. In this conversation, we explored how Connection Before Correction — a core principle of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — can transform workplace culture. Traditionally used in couples and individual therapy, EFT offers a science-backed, attachment-based framework that helps leaders and teams move beyond emotional intelligence as a “skill” to a deeper human connection. It provides practical tools to understand emotional triggers, build psychological safety, and create workplaces where trust, collaboration, and innovation thrive. I am proud to be the first to introduce EFT into the corporate world for enhancing psychological safety — helping organizations move from simply managing teams to truly leading human systems.  Because when people feel emotionally safe, they don’t just work — they perform, innovate, and thrive.
